The meaning behind our name

Every person facing cancer or serious illness is fighting a battle most people never see and to us, that makes them a hero. Hero Hearts Unite was born from a simple idea: to unite these hearts – survivors, fighters, caregivers, and everyone who shows up for them – in one community of courage and support.

My story - the day everything changed

I didn't guess what patients need. I lived it.

On December 4, 2023, my smile disappeared and fear quietly entered my world. What followed came fast — appointments, a double mastectomy, twelve rounds of chemotherapy, a year of targeted treatment.

Through all of it, small comforts carried me: a soft blanket in a cold treatment chair, ginger for the nausea, a hand cream when my skin had been through too much. My husband never left my side. My parents called every single chemo day, without fail.
